Location: IL-Chicago  
Lower Midwest (IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MO, NE & OH)
Salary Range: 67,000-82,000

Position Responsibilities: The position is responsible for ensuring financial results are reported accurately in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) and with corporate accounting policies. Responsible for determining accounting treatment on more routine transactions. This position will identify problems/issues with the financial statements and work closely with internal accounting department to resolve issues in a timely manner. This position will also be involved in the billing and collection process for multiple business units within the division. Financial Analyst will be called on to assist with monthly and annual budgeting and/or forecasting. This position should understand variances to both budget and prior forecasts and assess the impact to the Company. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and analysis for internal customers such as monthly forecasts, annual forecasts and trend analysis. This person will be responsible for assessing trends in the companies’ operations and should begin to make suggestions for enhancing profitability and improving the control environment. It is expected that this position will prepare and/or coordinate selected reports as requested which encompass more than just this position’s assigned duties in an effort to monitor sensitive, high risk or high profile issues. This position will also assist department with any impromptu reporting requests or special projects.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelors, MBA or CPA highly desired
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: 1. Formulation and analysis of financial information for various departments of the company. 2. Developing integrated balance sheet and revenue/expense analyses and reports. 3. Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial data and ensure this data has been recorded accurately. 4. Effectively communicating issues and concerns with respective management personnel. 5. Perform audits of the accounting and financial data using established audit techniques to ensure accuracy and compliance. 6. Make recommendations to management to improve policies, procedures or methods. The employee will be a very visible member of the corporate finance and accounting division and report to the Director. This position will assist in the monitoring of the accounting of the operating divisions as well as closing and reporting processes. It will also perform a multitude of finance and accounting tasks. The candidate will also performing routine internal control and financial statement audits of various divisions. Strong analytical skills. BS or BA in Accounting and/or Finance. Strong knowledge of GAAP. MBA or CPA highly desirable however not required. At least 3-8 years of experience in a related field. Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
