| Job Description: |
Well-established South Florida brokerage firm seeks Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will serve as the lead accounting officer for the Firm with responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day financial management and internal and external reporting. The CFO’s primary role will be to provide accurate, timely financial information to senior management, as well as to establish and maintain compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures, including related to internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. The CFO will also be responsible for providing analytical and negotiating expertise in supporting the executive leadership of the Firm. The CFO will be a hands-on, take-charge individual capable of working well under tight deadlines. · Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Firm’s accounting department. · Ensure the accurate and timely filing of all required regulatory reports and public filings. · Develop and maintain a process-driven department that takes advantage of technology solutions to provide maximum scalability. · Ensure the financial policies, procedures and internal controls comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SEC reporting requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley, to include best practices. This is not an all inclusive listing of the duties involved with this position. Florida candidates are preferred, but will consider relocation. |

Bachelors, Certified Public Accountant, FINRA Registered Rep - Series 7 - Stock Broker|FINRA Registered Principal - Series 27 |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
· A minimum of twelve years of progressively greater accounting and financial-related responsibility, including having served as either controller or chief financial officer. · Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SEC reporting requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley, to include best practices. · Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. · Understanding of working structure, policies, mission and strategies of the Firm. · Extreme proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access (or similar database application) and QuickBooks. · Familiar with statistical methods and concepts and other analytical financial tools. · Comply with legal, regulatory and firm policy/procedure requirements. · Four year degree in Accounting or Finance is required. · Four years (minimum) Big 4 accounting experience. · A CPA is preferred · Willingness to obtain FINRA Series 27 license. |
